KAPOLEI CHORALEKapolei Public Library

The Kapolei Chorale will entertain with a holiday concert in the
library's atrium. The chorale, composed of women and men singing in four
part harmony, is in its third year of performing together throughout
Hawaii. The chorale membership reflects the many different cultures
found here in the islands, bringing that variety into the musical

"GIFT OF TIME" - A HOLIDAY CRAFT WORKSHOP

Evelyn Nakamura will teach participants to turn syrofoam take-out boxes
into stamps to decorate gift boxes made from discarded cardstock. Then,
attendees will make gift coupons to fill them and share your talents and
time with loved ones. All materials will be provided. Maximum of 20
participants for this one-hour workshop. Attendees must register to

AN ALPHABET OF ANIMAL TALES WITH AUNTIE BRENDA

Storyteller Brenda Freitas-Obregon will provide a lively, participatory
storytelling experience. Children of all ages will be able to sing,
sign, and dance. This 45-minute program is sponsored by the Friends of
the Library of Hawaii and the University of Hawaii Outreach College's

HOLIDAY CRAFT WORKSHOPS
Aina Haina Public Library will host a series of three "green" holiday
craft seminars in the month of December. On Wednesday, Dec. 3rd at 3:00
p.m., children can learn how to use scraps of paper, cardstock, and
magazine pictures to make fun, personalized note cards. This one-hour
activity is suitable for ages 6 and up. On Wednesday, Dec. 10th at 3:00
p.m., participants can learn how to transform junk mail and envelopes
into useful gift bags. This one-hour activity is intended for teens but
interested adults are welcome. On Saturday, Dec. 13th at 10:30 a.m,
participants will learn "Furoshiki", the Japanese style of wrapping
gifts of different sizes and shapes with only a fabric square. Using and
reusing furoshiki will eliminate wrapping paper, ribbons, tape, tissue
payer, and cardboard boxes. This one-hour program is suitable for
adults. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND ANY OF THESE CRAFT SEMINARS.
Materials will be provided and are limited to the first 20 participants.
